Hi, I am Henny Lee!
Background
I have always been passionate about helping others. Before studying design, I majored in business administration. After graduation, I had been working at two non-profit organizations. After gaining several years of work experience, I recognized that while working directly with non-profit organizations allowed me to provide immediate assistance to them, it was not sustainable in the long term. I pondered on what kind of work would allow me to effectively and consistently improve people's lives in a positive direction. That's when I thought about learning design. Design, being visual, is intuitive and efficient. I believed that through design, I could help people's lives in a more effective and intuitive manner. With that mindset, I made the decision to enroll in the Communication Design program at FIT and received an AAS degree.
As a designer
I focus on creating designs that are both beautiful and functional. Through my past studies and experiences, I have learned to listen and understand the needs of diverse individuals through research and interviews. This helps me generate effective and creative ideas when designing.
Additionally, I excel in structural and logical thinking. Before diving into design, I organize and identify the necessary systems and logic within my design by sorting through numerous thoughts and needs. Lastly, I enjoy challenges. As I have demonstrated by switching my major to a completely different field and succeeding in it, I strive to break my own boundaries in design as well. Exploring various layouts and finding the best solutions is another aspect of design that I particularly enjoy.
